Dickson trio earns recognition for Shakespeare performances

Three Dickson students recently earned recognition for their performances in the annual Shakespeare Monologue and Scene Contest through Pittsburgh Public Theater.

This year, over 900 students from more than 75 schools around the region competed in the contest, which is available to students in grades 4-12. Students in grades 4-7 compete in the Lower Division, while students in grades 8-12 compete in the Upper Division. The Woodland Hills School District always has a number of students participate across all grade levels, including students from Dickson.

Congratulations to sixth graders Colette Ciocco, Katelyn Pittler, and Nate Willson for receiving Honorable Mention recognition for their performances!

Nate performed a monologue as Marc Antony from the play Julius Caesar, while Colette and Katelyn performed a scene as Mistress Ford and Mistress Page from The Merry Wives of Windsor.
